Our Founders
Nonprofit Business Solutions (NBS) is a supporting organization
of the Truman Heartland Community
Foundation in Independence,
Missouri. NBS was created in 1999 in response to new needs and
opportunities emerging from a changing environment in philanthropy.
These changes present exciting developmental methods that allow
a nonprofit to build on its own internal assets and decrease
their dependence on traditional sources of support.
A team
of experienced consultants comprise NBS, with over a hundred
years of combined direct experience in both the nonprofit and for-profit
world. We understand the pressures of raising money for good causes,
as well as the opportunities available to nonprofits in the open
market.
Our objective is to help our clients identify, plan and
implement earned-income strategies that will generate revenue and
set their organizations on the road to sustainable development.
