The viability study which follows will provide you with three
worksheets, as well as their companion questionnaires, under the
headings of Money, Markets and Management.
 The worksheets will ask for basic business planning information,
from which you will complete the questionnaires.
Based on your answers to the questionnaires your
earned-income opportunity will be scored using eleven key business-planning
criteria. These criteria are revenue and investor potential,
available capital,
competitive analysis, differentiation, demand, price/cost structure,
core competencies, project complexity, mission compatibility
and core constituents. For definitions of each of these terms
consult
the glossary.
From this scored evaluation you will immediately
be able to print a report from Nonprofit Business
Solutions. This report
will
present
an analysis
of your identified opportunity, as well as recommendations
for proceeding with a business plan.
Once you register your account will remain active for 180 days
during which you should complete your work.
The results of your viability study will be saved
on line by NBS both while your account is active and beyond. As
long as your account remains active you may repeat this worksheet/questionnaire/report
process as many times as you desire. Worksheet answers will
be retained beyond the active period for eventual use in your Business
Plan.
